Maker Builds and the Arts Applied
Working for the past 20 years in the fields of art, design and technology, I serve corporations, nonprofits and schools. Most recently, teaching grades K-12 in Design-Build and The Arts.
During this time, I have observed the power visual language plays in bridging gaps between people and ideas. Whether rooted in STEM or bloomed in the Arts; the power of a communicator who holds a collective vision is critical in making and validating connections, conserving environments, and fostering 21st Century skills of the lifelong learner.
In modeling an analytical way for students to witness patterns and information, as well as organize relationships to the materials they encounter, I strive to provide a structure for them to navigate forward with sound understanding of the arts and design process, on a path that is their own vision.
Within a community atelier, my students will build, experiment, take creative risk and purposefully play.
